Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, is characterized by its dark sand beaches. Plan a day on the island and explore the Teide National Park. In clear weather you can see from the Teide summit, which rises nearly 4,000 meters above Tenerife, the islands of Gran Canaria, La Palma, El Hierro and La Gomera.

In Gran Canaria, the center of the Canary archipelago, there are numerous marinas and many beautiful anchorage grounds. The most well known throughout the Atlantic is the yacht port of Las Palmas. This island is of volcanic origin, too. It is the starting point for a major global event: the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers. In this overseas race, numerous yachts cross the Atlantic from Gran Canaria to St. Lucia in the Caribbean.

Sail past the island of Fuerteventura and enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches here. Make a stop, relax on a secluded cove and swim or dive. In the evenings be pampered by the culinary delights that the sea has to offer.

Lanzarote is, together with Fuerteventura, the sunniest one of the Canary Islands. Since it rarely rains on this island, there are no forests and water sources. The sight is based on red colored volcanic rock.
