Sailing Balearic Islands

Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic Islands, and the start and end destination of many yacht charter and sailing trips and cruises, also due to the very good international flight connections with the island and excellent infrastructure for sailors on site.

The island is so unique that you can get pretty much everything you wish: party and nightlife, pristine villages in the interior, crystal blue sea water on deserted beaches, the best fish restaurants in the Mediterranean, hiring a mega yacht or a luxury catamaran.

The main port of Majorca is the big harbour in the capital Palma de Mallorca where all major cruise ships, ferries and most luxury yachts start there cruise. Here you will also find most of the nearly 16,000 boat berths on the island. Since these are almost fully booked in summer, you should reserve your berth in the marinas in advance in high sesaon.

In addition to Palma there are many smaller marinas in Port Alcudia, Puerto de Pollensa, Puerto Portals, Porto Colom, Can Pastilla, El Arenal and Port Adriano where also many catamarans and motor yachts are based.

Very worthwhile is a visit to the smaller neighbor island of Menorca located northeast of Mallorca and its marinas Ciutadella and Mahon / Mao. Menorca is something for sailors and yacht charter friends who like it quiet and want to take things more moderate after anchoring in one of the bays or marinas.

Sailing IBIZA

Ibiza on the contrary is the hot spot of world-famous nightlife – and resting or lying at anchor at one of over 50 beaches during daytime. Ibiza has everything: yachts and boats of all sizes and price ranges, we offer hire of motor boats for the family to charters of super luxury yacht.

Around the island there are about 75 anchor points and 7 marinas with all amenities. In addition to the marina of Ibiza town and the marina Marina Botafoch there for example San Antonio (Sant Antoni in Catalan), main base of most bareboat sailing yachts, or Portinatx in the north of the island.

Passing the private island paradise Espalmador you get to Ibiza’s smaller sister island of Formentera, with its secluded coves and beaches and turquoise waters very similar to the Caribbean, the water quality is so outstanding that they are annually awarded with the blue flag of the EU.

Due to the seclusion of Formentera, the island and its main port of La Savina have maintained their original charm as yacht charter and sailing paradise – in high season, the anchorage of Formentera is the meeting point for some of the most beautiful yachts of the world.
